Destoners with Built-In Blender from Genio Roasters

INTRODUCING THE ONLY DESTONER WITH A BUILT-IN BLENDER

At Genio, we are committed to innovation and quality in the coffee roasting industry. We are proud to present a unique feature that sets our destoners apart from the rest: an integrated blending attachment. This built-in blender ensures that our destoners not only remove unwanted debris but also deliver a perfectly blended batch of coffee beans every time.

WHY OUR BUILT-IN BLENDER IS A GAME CHANGER

Our Destoner with Integrated Blender features the following:

  • Choose between 50kg and 120kg storage capacity

  • Remove unwanted debris from your roasted coffee

  • Create perfect blends without stopping your roasting production

  • Customization to integrate with your roaster’s dimensions

  • Built-in vibration motor for faster destoning

Here's how it works: A destoner sucks up roasted beans and leaves heavier objects in the built-on tray.  After destoning, the blender mixes your coffees together to a uniform blend.  Every destoner has varibale speed drives and a built-in vibration motor to speed up destoning.

WHY IS A DESTONER IMPORTANT?

Foreign materials, especially stones and metal pieces, can damage grinding equipment. Stones can cause significant wear and tear or even break equipment, leading to costly repairs and downtime. A destoner helps protect this expensive machinery.

“A destoner used after the roasting process operates based on the principle of density difference between roasted coffee beans and heavier foreign objects like stones, metal fragments, or other debris.”

HOW IT WORKS?

Roasted Beans Feeding: The roasted coffee beans are fed into the destoner through a hopper system. The beans, being lighter after roasting, are ready to be separated from denser materials.

Airflow Separation: Inside the destoner, an adjustable airflow is introduced. The airflow is designed to lift and carry the lighter roasted beans upward while allowing the heavier foreign objects to fall.

Vibrating Deck: The beans and foreign materials pass over a vibrating or oscillating deck or screen. This deck further helps to separate the lighter beans from the denser materials by shaking and stratifying them. The vibration assists in loosening any debris clinging to the beans.

Density-Based Sorting: The heavier objects, such as stones or metal fragments, naturally fall to the bottom due to gravity and the lack of sufficient lift from the airflow. These heavier materials are collected in a separate compartment or container.

Clean Beans Collection: The lighter, roasted coffee beans are carried by the airflow to an outlet where they are collected and directed to the next stage of processing, such as packaging or grinding.

Adjustability: The airflow and vibration intensity can be adjusted to ensure optimal separation based on the specific characteristics of the roasted beans and the types of foreign materials expected.

In summary, a destoner works by utilizing airflow and vibration to separate lighter roasted coffee beans from heavier foreign objects. The combination of gravity and airflow ensures that only clean, roasted beans proceed to the next stage of coffee production, while contaminants are removed and collected separately.
